Jokowi Hopes That SUN Hub Will Help Contractors Speed Up IKN Infrastructure

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) hopes that the presence of the construction material provider service company, Sentra Unggul Nusantara Hub (Sun Hub), in the capital city of the archipelago (IKN) can contribute to accelerating the realization of IKN infrastructure development.

“Seeing the rapid development in IKN, the need for construction materials, both exterior and interior, is definitely very high and definitely very much needed and the space for development is still very large,” said President Jokowi when giving a speech at the Ground Breaking SUN Hub agenda at IKN, East Kalimantan, Wednesday .

He said the SUN Hub would really help contractors get various materials needed to accelerate infrastructure development at IKN.

“I am happy because SUN Hub presents a solution for providing construction materials with an environmentally friendly smart warehousing system,” he said.

On that occasion, Jokowi watched a video showing the implementation of the SUN Hub warehousing system which was considered environmentally friendly, complete with an interactive construction material showroom.

“This will be the most environmentally friendly construction material storage area in Indonesia,” he said.

Jokowi hopes that SUN Hub can help contractors get the construction materials they need quickly, so that IKN construction can roll out more quickly.

At the same event, Director of Holding Sentra Unggul Nusantara Richard Sugianto said that SUN Hub is supported by a group of companies that have been involved in the field of construction and building materials and distribution for more than 50 years.

“This includes PT Bangun Sukses Niaga Taman Nusantara, PT Niaga Sukses Abadi, GRC Board, and PT Mitra Seribu Saudara,” he said.

SUN Hub also has more than 50 support warehouses throughout Indonesia with a sales force of 700 and a total of 3,000 other supporting workers.

“In fact, currently we have supplied building materials for more than 30 projects at IKN, including the Presidential Palace, ceremonial grounds, presidential office, presidential secretariat and coordinating ministry offices,” he said.

Apart from that, his party also presents e-commerce specifically for building materials through the karetsaudara.com building store which integrates the building materials trading ecosystem.

“We are synergizing suppliers of goods, transportation fleets, warehouses and sales to encourage the progress of MSMEs, such as building shops, so that they can participate and grow together,” he said.
